Energy Ring: Universal Edition Review
Energy Ring: Universal Edition is a free personalization app for Android devices that adds a configurable energy ring around the camera lens to indicate the current battery level. The app supports various devices with punch hole cameras including Samsung Galaxy, Pixel, OnePlus, Motorola, Huawei, Realme, Mi, Oppo, Poco, and Vivo. The energy ring can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut thick ring and can be set to hide on fullscreen content. Energy Ring puts almost 0% load on CPU, waking up only to reflect any change in battery level. The app also has a number of cool animations whenever a power source is plugged into your device.
The energy ring‘s direction can be configured as clockwise, bidirectional, or anti-clockwise, and can be set to change colors automatically depending on the live battery level. Energy Ring could have a mono color, multiple color segments, or gradient (pro), and you can assign any color in the world for your favorite configuration. Energy Ring runs as an Accessibility Service, to be able to display on Lock Screen. It does not read or monitor any data. However, the app may disappear on Xiaomi devices, and energy ring‘s thickness may change on Samsung devices to avoid screen burn-in.
