Fly, shoot, and teleport in Enceladus
Enceladus is a top-down shoot-’em-up game in which you play a lone spaceship battling against hordes of alien enemies above the icy surface of Saturn’s moon Enceladus. This fast-paced action title features a teleporting mechanic that changes the way this game plays.
A classic with some modern twists
If you’ve played other shoot-’em-ups, you’ll be familiar with the basics of Enceladus’ gameplay. You fly your ship around, reacting quickly to the hail of enemy fire and swarms of enemy ships, defending yourself either with your energy blasters or with your more powerful lasers and bombs. However, the ship has one more ability: it can teleport, projecting an image of itself and then jumping to the location of that image. You’ll need this ability to evade some of the enemies, attacks and hazards of this fast-paced game. The retro-inspired graphics of Enceladus evoke an earlier era of console and arcade shoot-’em-ups.
A new entry in a classic genre
If you’re a fan of the shoot-’em-up genre, Enceladus is definitely a worthwhile title to check out. The teleportation mechanic adds an interesting new wrinkly, and the graphics and level design are very impressive.
