Balance all of Vvardenfell with this free mod
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Rebirth Mod is a free video game utility that lets you improve almost everything about the popular open-world RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Developed by trancemaster_1988, this is a total overhaul mod that enhances the gameplay by balancing certain aspects. This mod is continuously being worked on but already has tons of new content and is a great title to try out once you’re ready to play Morrowind mods.
A new makeover
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind is a 2002 open-world role-playing video game developed and published by Bethesda. It is the third installment in The Elder Scrolls series and it follows the story of the player character who comes to be known as the Nerevarine, the prophesied hero. The game achieved both critical and commercial success, and had spawned two expansion packs: Tribunal and Bloodmoon. However, there is still much in it that could be improved.
Fortunately, Morrowind Rebirth does exactly that. Its main focus is on balancing the gameplay, especially in regards to combat and crafting. More than a hundred pieces of new armor, weapons, and clothing are added to the game with this mod. The spellcasting, enchanting, alchemy, and birthsign systems have been revamped and tweaked for fairer play. There are also over 20 new creatures available and some of the original game’s creatures have been adjusted, as well.
This mod also fixes a lot of bugs and overhauls some of the explorable regions—adding new places of interest inside cities and new dungeons to discover. Some of the graphical improvements include unique textures for blighted creatures so they’re much easier to distinguish from their normal counterparts. Some of the gameplay mechanics are more realistic now, too, like taking great fall damage from high places and services like transportation and training costing more.
A better adventure
Overall, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Rebirth Mod is definitely something a Morrowind fan should try out. It’s only a shame that this mod isn’t fully compatible with some of the more popular mods—specifically, with Tamriel Rebuilt because the balance of that mod is based on the vanilla game and Morrowind Rebirth already changed that. Nevertheless, this is a highly-recommended mod to experience for yourself.
