Compared to apps like PicsArt Photo Editor: Pic, Video & Collage Maker, however, DSLR Blur Background, Bokeh bg offers fewer editing tools. This app’s features are limited to creating a blur effect, so you’ll have to complete any other edits in a different app.

What can it do?

As mentioned above, DSLR Blur Background, Bokeh bg’s main purpose is to produce a DSLR-like blur effect on your photos. You can opt to freehand the areas that you want to blur out, or you can choose from a set of pre-made shapes that will act as a guide for where you want to place the focus in your images.

Aside from these features, the app lacks a large number of features that you would typically expect from a photo editing app. Other than blurring out areas of your photo, the only other thing you can do is crop and flip your images. There are no options to alter basic elements like your image’s brightness, saturation, contrast, highlights, or shadows.

In addition to this, the app also has way too many obstructive ads that make it difficult to use smoothly. Each action you take triggers a new pop-up to appear, so navigating between pages and applying any of the available effects can become a chore. This becomes quite frustrating as you spend more time watching the ads than actually using the app for its purpose.

Although DSLR Blur Background, Bokeh bg offers a convenient way for you to give your images that soft, focus blur even without a DSLR camera, too many issues make it difficult to use. Not only do you have to deal with a horde of ads every time you apply any changes, but it also lacks a number of basic editing functionalities.
