Droid Dashcam – Video Recorder: A Review

Droid Dashcam is a free app for Android users that functions as a driving video recorder or dashboard camera. The app continuously records videos in loop mode, and also has features that include adding subtitles with information directly on the videos, recording in the background, autostart recording, and much more.

One of its most notable features is the hardcoded subtitles, which overlay captions directly on the recording video file. The subtitles include timestamp (date), location address, GPS coordinates, speed (based on GPS data), and vehicle registration plate (car number). The app also has a small, lightweight size, and the option to autostart recording on charging on/off, on system boot, on Bluetooth device connection/disconnection, AUX-cable connection, or on app launch.
