Digital Identity is a system for securely managing passwords and PINs. The creator’s motivation for making this application was that other password management applications had one major design flaw: they had no way to recover from a lost master password (which is used to get access to the password manager). All the stored passwords are useless if the master password is lost (assuming the encryption method is strong).
This password management system allows users to encode an image (bitmap) with the login name and password of the password file itself. If the master password is lost, access can be granted by using the image. The passwords will still be completely secure as long as the image is stored in a safe place.
Additionally, this application allows users to encode images with any text they chose and will encrypt and decrypt files. This password management system encrypts all passwords and files with the Blowfish algorithm by Bruce Schneier, which has yet to be compromised.
