A free Fallout 4 mod to improve PipBoy interfaces

DEF_UI is more than just a free Fallout 4 mod to improve the PipBoy interface. It also improves container and barter inventory screens. In addition, it allows for more customizations and tinkering with inventory screens than the original game.

Unlike the Unofficial Fallout 4 patch, this mod doesn’t fix any problems. Instead, it adds Fallout 4 PipBoy and customizable interface options. Like the Fallout 4 HD Overhaul mod, this software focuses more on enhancing appearances than altering the gameplay.

What is DEF_ UI for Fallout 4?

With this mod, you can change how your inventory screens display and how your primary HUD looks. Its most obvious changes are for Fallout 4 Pipboy, but even merchants can change the interface.

Can I customize other HUD elements?

If you have already use mods to change the way your HUD looks, this mod may cause odd results if used in conjunction. Unless the other mods only affect brightness or color, this mod will have unexpected but often manageable effects.

Can I make the on-screen items larger?

When you look at an object to pick it up, you may have trouble making out the text displayed to describe it. With this mod, you can enlarge and alter the text to make it easier to read.

More than what the developers thought necessary

It is obvious why the developers of Fallout 4 didn’t include all these extra interface tools. The developments process would have taken too long and too much effort. However, if you want to have full control of your interfaces, including the primary HUD, this is the mod for you.

A mixture of accessibility and convenience

This customizable HUD mod offers convenience through simple things, like making junk easier to see and sort. It also improves accessibility by increasing inventory sizes and allowing more scaling for things like the number of items available.
