Explore Caverns The Way Only The Most Manly Dwarves Do.
Deep Rock Galactic is a single- and multi-player cave exploration game where you take the role of a dwarf in one of four classes, and play either alone or with up to four other players. You use explosives and your skills to destroy your way through cave obstacles, fight enemies, and get gold (or tin).
Start And Stop With Explosions
Deep Rock Galactic’s multiplayer is solid, and we had no complaints about it while we were trying it out. The class system means a group of four will be balanced, but smaller groups or single players have to specialize in gunnery, scouting, mining, or, of course, explosions. A well-oiled team should make it through; a haphazard one is still fun to play. Aside from picking class and getting some loot though, characters don’t change much, and bugs do crop up. Still, the game’s fun, alone or together.
Cave Ready
There’s a lot to recommend Deep Rock Galactic, here. It combines gameplay that’s become classical – mining in caverns, bringing light, and fighting enemies – with amusing and cool themes, specialized mechanics that fit the game, and decent graphics, too. Every game has a few flaws, DRG included, but overall it’s a worthy addition to just about anyone’s library.
