Copy automation utility for PC

CopyToFlash is a free utility tool developed by dx7Tech.com for PCs. It is a file copy program that provides options to fully automate the copying process of files to flash drives as needed. It works on all kinds of files and can follow various user-set parameters for transfers.

There have been plenty of copy utilities that simplify or even speed up transfers like TeraCopy or FastCopy. CopyToFlash provides functionality that is rarely found in other programs, making it stand out as a rather unique solution to a common problem that many users encounter.

How do I use CopyToFlash?

If you work as a system administrator, part of your responsibility is managing and maintaining multiple PCs at the same time. Not to mention, the important files and documents that need to be distributed to every user every time new ones become available. While the process of copying files to multiple storage devices can be automated using a script and task scheduler, it’s far from a simple solution to implement.

Thankfully, utility tools like CopyToFlash exist to help solve this dilemma. Launch this portable program and you’ll be presented with a compact and simple UI. Use the browse button to choose a specific folder where you’ll be adding to. Click on the Start Monitoring button next and it will start monitoring. Every time a flash drive is inserted, it will automatically copy files to it and alert you when done.

Repeat the process as many times as needed, then simply open the window again and click on the Stop Monitoring button to stop using it. As useful as this program might be, it leaves a lot to be desired. For one, there is no built-in tutorial or guide to help new users along. Another is that it lacks options for setting custom destination paths for transfers.

Needs more work

CopyToFlash is a handy and convenient solution held back by poor execution. The lack of any kind of tutorial or guide would have been great to make things easier for new users, while the lack of customization options is a missed opportunity for even better utility. If you’re willing to get past these, this tool is quite unique and worth a try at least.
