Rework and overhaul the world of Skyrim with Civil War

CIVIL WAR OVERHAUL – Redux is a free, fan-made mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. The expansion mod pack’s purpose is to fix what the mod’s creator perceived to be errors within the Civil War section of the base Skyrim game. One of the mod’s alterations is to restore the previously cut dynamic that required holds to be taken only by force, hence altering the game’s makeup. Now, a single battle can alter the entire tide of the war.

The mod also introduces a larger element of deception into the Civil War. Players can use disguises and operate a network of spies to help gain an advantage over the opponent. You can also carry out assassinations on the enemy army: this is a Civil War that requires brute strength and trickery.

Mod compatibility

Since the changes only impact the Civil War questline, CIVIL WAR OVERHAUL – Redux is generally compatible with mods that affect other game areas. However, it will run into compatibility issues with other Civil War mods, such as Open Civil War.
