Chess – A Strategy Board Game
Chess is a strategy board game, played worldwide by millions of people. The game is played on a 8×8 checkered board and players move their pieces on the board according to a set of rules.
Gameplay
Gameplay is very simple and is the same for everyone. Each player starts the game with an equal number of pieces of their respective color (i.e. black or white). The object of the game is to move your pieces and attack the opponent’s pieces to move them out of the opponent’s side of the board. The game ends when the opponent’s king is on the last square of the opponent’s side of the board or, if there is no legal move, when the opponent captures the opponent’s king.

Each player can move a single piece per turn.
The pieces can be moved to a vacant square directly or via one of the other pieces.
