Simple yet efficient screen capturing tool

CaptureScreen is a handy screen capturing tool that includes all the basic functionality you would expect from this kind of apps.

The program features an original interface – a transparent window – which is in fact the tool you use to capture the image. Anything under the CaptureScreen window will be captured as an image. You can also click the ‘Full screen’ option in the program’s context menu to take a screenshot of the whole desktop.

Once the captured image is loaded in CaptureScreen, right click anywhere on it to open the context menu. You’ll find a bunch of interesting tools here, with which you can copy the image to the Clipboard, generate a thumbnail or apply different effects, such as converting to grayscale, adjusting colors or creating a sketch.

CaptureScreen lacks some additional functions you usually find in other more advanced screen capturing apps (like being able to capture windows or saving several captures in a row), but makes up for it with its simplicity and ease of use.
