bKash is a financial service in Bangladesh that allows users to make financial transactions through their mobile phones. How to get started with the bKash app?
There are two ways to create an account in bKash. You can go to any bKash agent and customer care center and have them set it up for you. Doing so is free and simple. You only need to provide a phone number. After creating your account, you can then proceed to downloading and installing the app.
If you don’t want to visit an agent, you can set up an account yourself. There is a self-registration feature on the app where you can create yours. However, instead of the phone number, you need to provide your National ID.
The app is, by default, set up in Bangla, but you can change it to English in the language setting. To see the menu options, you need to click the app logo. How to use the app for transactions?

Using the app for the above-mentioned transaction is super easy. To check your balance, you only need to click the tap for the balance button, and your update will be displayed within a second. To send money to any bKash number, you only need to tap the send money option. Of course, you need to enter the number or select it from your contacts.
In case of payments or cashouts, you can use the Scan QR code button on the home screen. You can also put in the merchant’s number to make payments if you don’t want to use QR codes. Is bKash safe?
bKash provides its users with a secure platform for any monetary transaction. It uses PIN security protection. With this, nobody can open your account, even if your phone got stolen. As for financial security, the app will automatically log you out after a specific period of inactivity. You will have to log in again with your bKash pin if you want to do some transaction.
However, while the app does not have security issues, the same cannot be said with its usability. In the recent update, users have reported difficulty in opening the app. They often got an error message whenever they try to log in to their account. More, the app takes ages to provide the token number during payment transaction that it fails.
The interface has also taken a wrong turn with the update. The login and registration are on the same button. The inbox and transaction list also disappear after updating. bKash also requires the use of your sim.
