Free biking simulation game
Bike Life! is a free-to-play application from Bad Idea Studios, which allows you to take on the road riding your bike. The gameplay is simple as the simulation game only challenges you to keep biking for as long as you can. Although, along the way, there will be cars and pedestrians that you must avoid.
However, unlike other biking games, Bike Life! does not offer much in terms of modes and features. It only has a single-player campaign. Additionally, it does not provide any customization option. But what hurts the fun in this game is its stiff control.
How do you play this game?
Bike Life! is a simple biking simulator. As mentioned, your goal is to ride your bike for as long as you can. The longer you keep your wheelie going, the higher your score will be. However, you will ride across traffic and pedestrians. Along the way, there will be cars that you need to avoid to prevent your character from crashing and ending your ride.
The controls are easy. You can tilt your phone left and right to move to swerve. The game also allows you to tap your screen. Be warned, though, tilting your phone does not often work. Additionally, tapping the screen only moves your character a fraction. The game requires you to slide your fingers to move bigger. However, this often causes your rider to crash and end your game.
More than the unresponsive controls, Bike Life! also lacks variety. As noted, there are no other modes available. In fact, besides the background music and control options, the game does not offer anything more. You cannot customize your bike and your character. There is also no reward system since the game only records your highest score. There isn’t even a leaderboard to see how you fare against other players.
Should you play this game?
Bike Life! offers casual gameplay that you can enjoy to pass the time. The mechanics are easy to grasp, which allows you to start playing without a learning curve. However, it lacks variety and does not offer any other features. The only challenge in the game is controlling your rider with its stiff controls. Overall, it still needs to undergo further development to compete with other mobile simulation games.
