Wacky off-road kart racing game
Beach Buggy Racing is a free racing game by developer Vector Unit for mobile devices. It is an off-road kart racer that is set on a tropical island. In it, players will get to drive a variety of unique vehicles that they can customize in multiple ways.
Just like Mario Kart Tour or Garfield Kart, Beach Buggy Racing takes on a more casual and playful approach to racing. It focuses more on providing players with a fun and wacky experience that they can enjoy with friends and family. It even has support for third-party gamepads for better control.
Tropical paradise racing
Beach Buggy Racing, as its name suggests, takes place in an island beach paradise. On it, you will be engaging in over-the-top off-road races with a team of drivers who each have their own unique special powers that give them an edge on the road. Collect and upgrade vehicles for your garage from monster trucks to muscle cars, and even lunar rovers.
There are 15 race tracks to take on in this racing game. Each one of them is located across the island and features hidden shortcuts and surprise traps. What’s more, you’ll be able to collect more than 25 powerups that you can utilize during tricky situations. Some of them are the Dodgeball Frenzy, Oil Slick, Fireball, and many more to choose from and experiment with.
Aside from the aforementioned support for gamepads, this game also allows for split-screen multiplayer with up to four players at the same time using a compatible Android TV or through screen casting. Unfortunately, this particular feature is locked behind a paywall, so you have to pay just to be able to play with your friends. Also, it suffers from frequent crashes, which sting even more.
Pay up or go solo
In summary, Beach Buggy Racing is a decent racing game that offers good fun across its many varied race tracks and vehicles. However, the fact that you need to pay to have access to its multiplayer feature will put off a lot of players. Not to mention the frequent crashes it experiences. If you like these types of games, there are better options out there.
