Banco do Povo – Empowering Microentrepreneurs in Rondônia

Banco do Povo de Rondônia is a free Android application developed by the Banco do Povo de Rondônia. It is a business and finance program that has been empowering microentrepreneurs in Rondônia for the past decade. The program provides lines of credit to informal professionals and microentrepreneurs from various segments such as carpenters, tailors, cooks, mechanics, and rural producers.

Since its launch in 2007, the program has disbursed over R$ 40 million in credit, benefiting 20,000 microentrepreneurs across the state. The program was initiated by the then-deputy federal governor, Confúcio Moura, and has now expanded to 15 municipalities in Rondônia, with a mobile unit providing services to other cities without an agency.

Banco do Povo de Rondônia has been a game-changer in the Rondônia economy, generating income, creating job opportunities, and reviving social and cultural values in both rural and urban areas. It’s an excellent initiative that has been helping microentrepreneurs realize their dreams and grow their businesses.
