Axe DevTools for Web Accessibility Testing is a tool for developers, testers, and designers.
Axe DevTools works on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on Mac, and Windows, and you can add it to your Chrome.
Axe DevTools analyzes websites, automatically surfacing accessibility issues. It shows where issues are and how you can fix them.
All issues are classified based on their severity and scope.
When you open the Axe DevTools app, it takes a few seconds to start, so make sure you have a decent Internet connection.
The free version of the app provides limited functionality, and you can see the following issues:
- Accessibility in the navigation, form, field, and list.
- Accessibility in the text content, including links.
- Accessibility in the images, including all CSS properties.
The free version supports IAccessible2.
The Pro version of the app supports IAccessible2 and IAccessible3, and the data from the Pro version is compatible with IAccessible2 and IAccessible3.
