AutoShortcut – Run shortcuts from Tasker or Locale
AutoShortcut is a plugin for Tasker or Locale that enables users to run any of their installed apps’ shortcuts. It is a useful tool for automating various tasks on Android devices. However, it should be noted that this app is not designed to be used as a standalone app and requires Tasker or Locale to be installed to function.
AutoShortcut can be used to create shortcuts for different apps and actions, such as playing a playlist on Winamp, opening a specific Google Play book, or creating a new note in Evernote. Moreover, by exporting a standalone app in Tasker which contains an AutoShortcut task, users can use their own shortcuts in apps or lock screens that do not support them.
It is worth noting that only shortcuts that have been developed using standard Android shortcut creating protocol will show up and/or work. Additionally, the app requires permission to call phone and internet access. The latter is only used to display the developer’s other apps on the splash screen. Overall, AutoShortcut is a handy tool for Tasker or Locale users who want to automate their device’s tasks.
