AMD Catalyst Driver for Windows 10
AMD Catalyst Driver for Windows 10 builds on the optimisations and improvements that come with AMD Catalyst 15.7.1 driver.
Usage and Installation
AMD Catalyst Driver for Windows 10 updates the display driver and control centre of AMD Catalyst. It’s designed for offering enhanced reliability and performance. You are not supposed to use this tool on Apple Boot Camp platforms’ AMD products. Users would have to contact the maker for driver assistance. When installing the driver, you should have logged in as ‘administrator’. The installation cannot be completed without administrator rights. For installing this software suite, you also need Windows 7 Service Pack, and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5. Quite conveniently, the .NET Framework is a part of AMD Catalyst packages.
Compatibility and Enhancements Offered
The AMD Catalyst Driver for Windows 10 is compatible with a range of AMD Radeon series of products, including AMD desktops and AMD all-in-one desktops. Even Godavari, Kaveri, and Carrizo series of APUs are supported. As far as operating systems go, the software suite supports Windows 10, 8.1, and 7 SP1 (32-bit and 64-bit). The driver offers support for newer graphics products as well, such as AMD Radeon. The driver also supports specific AMD features such as Virtual Super Resolution (VSR) and Frame Rate Target Control (FRTC). VSR offers image quality enhancements by rendering higher resolution images and downscaling the same. FRTC, on the other hand, lets you set maximum frame rates when interacting with an application in complete screen mode.
