A wave shooting VR game in outer space
A-10 VR is what many would consider a typical arcade shooting game, but it is based in outer space. It is colourful, loud, and has a very frenzied gaming style. Its graphics are also rather good considering when it was released.
A virtual take on a classic space shooter
When you compare A-10 VR with other games that came out in the same year, you see how nice the game looks graphically, and you see how the visual effects are far superior to most other VR games that came out the same year. Your job is to shoot at the many projectiles and enemies that are flying towards you. One feels that this game and many of its ilk could be improved if gun-shaped controllers were used. Using regular VR controllers feels like you are firing phasers from Star Trek Voyager, whereas most people want to fire phasers from the original Star Trek, or from Farscape.
Colourful, bright and energetic
A-10 VR is based on the same premise that old arcade games used to have where a series of enemy projectiles come flying at you and you have to shoot them. It is a wave shooter with no real story or incentive to continue, which means it will become boring after a while. However, A-10 VR can be used as a bit of diversionary fun for when you feel like shooting stuff down and blowing stuff up. It is not a VR classic, but there are worse ways to kill a little time.
