Tynker Junior: A Fun and Interactive Way to Learn Coding for Early Learners
Tynker Junior is a free educational program designed for early learners who are just starting to read. It offers five coding adventures and two creation studios, providing an interactive and fun way to spark children’s interest in coding. The program uses graphical blocks to move characters, making it easy for young children (ages 5-7) to learn the fundamentals of coding.
Tynker Junior was inspired by the award-winning Tynker programming language, which is used by over 60 million kids and in more than 90,000 schools worldwide. The program features word-free picture blocks, a tap-based interface, friendly voiceovers, helpful hints, and a gentle progression of difficulty to motivate completion. With over 200 coding challenges in five puzzle-based adventures and two project creation studios, children can learn sequencing, pattern recognition, events, parameters, counting loops, delays, and conditional logic.
