Archived backup copies of your important files in a snap
You only understand the importance of backup copies when your hard drive fails. So before you lose any sensitive information, I advice you to use an app such as Snap Backup.
This simple backup tool makes the job really easy. It features a multilingual Java-based interface with a list where you can add as many different files and folders as you want to backup. Then select the output the folder and let Snap Backup take care of the rest. This target folder can be located on a networked drive or a removable device, which makes more sense than backing up to the same hard drive.
Snap Backup automatically creates a compressed Zip archive with all selected files and folders, so it doesn’t take up much space. There’s no option to choose another archiving format though.
The good thing about Snap Backup is that it supports different profiles for different users, and that it also lets you filter the contents that are meant to be backed up. On the downside, there are no scheduling tools to create automated backup tasks: you’ll have to do it manually.
Snap Backup is a simple Java-based backup tool that helps you create secure copies of your most important data, though it lacks support for automated backups.
