Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon is the third entry in the genre-defining Broken Sword series of adventure games. While the game sees another appearance from series protagonists George Stobbard and Nico Collard, its gameplay is a departure from its predecessors, with 3D graphics and a new, more direct control interface. The mysterious plot keeps the flavour of the originals.

Globetrotting conspiracy adventure

Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon follows on from the occult conspiracy plots of the previous games in the series, sending George and Nico all over the world to find clues pointing to a plot to raise an ancient being from its slumber. Unlike previous games, you control the character directly rather than using a point-and-click interface, but the goal is still the same: collect clues, interact with NPCs and solve puzzles to progress through the game’s scenes. Like its predecessors, Broken Sword 3: The Sleeping Dragon features some brain-twisting puzzles, although asking characters the right questions can help you figure out what you’re supposed to be doing. Unlike most other adventure games, but like the other games in the Broken Sword series, it’s possible to die in this game, forcing you back to your latest save point.
