Escape the room with this game

The Experiment is a multiplayer game from OnSkull Games. This game will have you go on a chilling adventure inside a doctor’s office. Your goal is to escape the building before you become one of the victims of the doctor’s horrific experiment.

The Experiment is an escape room game you can play with up to six players. However, you can also play it solo, co-op, or competitively with others. The game is also designed for virtual reality devices, such as HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Don’t worry, though. VR is not necessary as you can play it with a desktop.

What is The Experiment?

The Experiment is an online multiplayer game that will challenge you to escape a building by solving puzzles. The game starts with you visiting a well-renowned doctor. However, on your visit, you were drugged and locked in the back room of the building. You also found out that the doctor is running some kind of experiment on animals and people. You will be the next subject unless you escape.

In the game, your team of six players can play together and go through five rooms. Each room will have puzzles you need to solve in order to progress. If you want more challenges, you can play the versus mode. Here, each player is locked alone. Your goal is to escape the room before the others do. You can also play the game solo.

As mentioned, the game supports full room-scale/standing tracking with motion controllers on both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. You can play it on your desktop using keyboard and mouse control though. Note, however, that the VR mode comes with bugs that make items pop in and out of focus. The sensitivity also changes every time you enter the game from the lobby. Also, some puzzles are too easy.

Is the game good?

Overall, The Experiment is a game you and your friends can try if you like escape rooms. It has typical escape room gameplay that supports up to six players. Not only that, but you can also play it in VR mode. However, while it has a creepy and menacing environment, not all puzzles are challenging. Moreover, the game is so buggy that it sometimes kicks you out for no reason.
