Free roguelike adventure game

RUN is a free roguelike platformer in which you must jump and sprint fast enough to unlock new content. The game was inspired by other games such as Celeste, SMB, Dead Cells, and even Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures. This title stands apart from other games as it follows a roguelike gameplay. This means that the result of the game will be different each time it’s played. While it is a short action game, its replayability is unbounded.

What is RUN the game?

RUN’s mission is to go on a long exploration of dark alleyways and rubles. Within this period of time, you should be able to make it to the end of the obstacle course, or else you will need to start from the beginning. Throughout the game,  you will be greeted with new terrain and environments. You will need to defend yourself from the mysterious creatures that lurk everywhere.

The game can be completed within 5 to 20 minutes. As a beginner, use the default settings for an average difficulty setup. You can adjust the settings to make it easier or harder. There is no introduction sequence to this game so you can start right away. As a 2D platformer, you can only move laterally; you can move forward, backward, up, and down. Be careful not to move back too quickly, though, as the monsters of the game will be chasing you down.

You will often encounter obstacles in your exploration, like the large bricks and the enormous metal spikes. It’s important to avoid these as it will lead to your untimely demise. While the game has a large number of levels, the game only allows you to play for less than 30 minutes. Another major obstacle is the gaps between the platforms. You will need to jump from one platform to another to avoid your death.

Superb and short rogue-lite game

RUN is a fun yet challenging game for gamers of all skill levels. By randomizing your encounters, you can expect a dynamic gaming experience each time you launch it. The timed gameplay adds another layer of difficulty in the game—testing your skills in speed, awareness, and efficiency.
