Humorous post-apocalyptic adventure game for PC

Mayhem in Single Valley is a premium action game for PC by Fluxscopic Ltd. It is a retro post-apocalyptic adventure featuring charming pixel graphics. In it, players are tasked with saving the world from a zombie apocalypse while ensuring they make it back in time for dinner.

Similar to Streets of Rogue, Mayhem in Single Valley offers chaotic and thrilling gameplay filled with offhand humor, wacky situations, and tons of zombies. It even introduces some slice-of-slice elements like Stardew Valley to add more variety to the gameplay and round out the whole experience.

Starting the apocalypse

In Mayhem in Single Valley, you play as Jack, an average kid from Single Valley, who happens to cause a zombie apocalypse by accidentally spilling a mysterious substance in the local water supply. The townsfolk and surrounding wildlife that ingest it turn rabid and will infect anything they come across. You must now step out from the comforts of your home, save the world, and be back for dinner.

Throughout your journey, you will be exploring various unique locations in the valley, from caves to your school, and many others, each hosting its own unique set of deadly creatures and hazardous environments. When it comes to combat, you will primarily be sneaking and dodging past enemies. If an encounter cannot be avoided, then you can use specific bait to distract them so you can get away.

The valley is also home to a wide cast of quirky characters who will help you on your quest to save the world. The game also features various collectibles scattered throughout. Some of them like duct tape can even be used to upgrade items. However, despite the many locations you’ll visit and quests to take on, the gameplay does get repetitive and dull after a while.

Save the world before dinner time

Mayhem in Single Valley is an adventure game with plenty of retro charm and humor from start to finish. There are plenty of locations to explore and quirky townsfolk to meet and recruit to your cause. The gameplay does run out of steam after a while, but it does detract from the chaotic and fun experience you can have. Recommended.
