Super Kaiju is a virtual reality multiplayer arena shooter in which you play a mech pilot battling against other giant monster robots in a futuristic gladiatorial arena. Like a lot of VR shooters, this game doesn’t offer any movement options; your giant robot simply stands on one platform and blasts at a robot on an opposite platform. But despite what seems like a limited premise, there’s interesting depth to Super Kaiju’s gameplay.

The colourful, creature-filled arenas in Super Kaiju aren’t just for looks; they’re a vital part of the game’s strategy. In addition to your opponent, the arena swarms with other potential targets. Shooting these earns you stars, which you can use to buy more powerful weapons and abilities. As you learn about your opponent’s defenses, you’ll be able to buy the perfect weapons to bypass them. As the game progresses, you’ll also be able to upgrade and customize your mech to fit your specifications.

A colorful combat zone

Fast-paced and colorful, Super Kaiju looks spectacular. The gameplay is exciting, although online matchmaking doesn’t always result in very balanced matches. If you can find an evenly matched opponent, it offers exciting challenges.
