Nature-themed puzzle platformer

Weakless is a premium adventure game for PC by developer Punk Notions. It is a third-person 3D puzzle platformer that features a lush and beautiful nature-themed setting. In it, players control a pair of insects as they take on various puzzles and challenges to save their world.

Just like with Rogue Singularity or It Takes Two, Weakless offers players a variety of puzzles and platforming challenges to solve and overcome. They will get to explore a vast world that is split into multiple biomes boasting unique environments. All of that, viewed from the perspectives of its two main protagonists.

It’s all about perspective

Weakless takes place in the organic fantasy world of Weavelings, on the brink of collapse from the mysterious plague called the Rot. The only way to save the people is to restore the flow of Resin, the living energy that is bestowed to every living creature. You’ll follow the story of the Blind One and the Deaf One as they form an unlikely friendship and venture to save their home.

True to their names, both Weavelings suffer from deficiencies in sight and hearing. In this game, you will take their “weaknesses” and use their unique sense of perception to your advantage. Use Blind’s unique sonar-like ability to scan and observe the world around you. Meanwhile, use Deaf’s nimble nature to be able to swiftly overcome obstacles and challenges. Combine their strengths and work together to work around their disabilities.

Explore the vast world that is dissected into little biomes that showcase its lush beauty, as well as its looming dangers. Each location you visit uncovers more of their home’s hidden and dark past that led to its current state and how to stop it. However, the whole experience can get rather dulled by the erratic camera behavior that makes it hard to see and solve puzzles at times.

Two is better than one

Overall, Weakless is a puzzle platformer that is visually captivating to behold and explore with its two main protagonists. The various locations you’ll visit are varied and unique, and the puzzles and challenges themselves are interesting to face. The only thing that gets in the way is the erratic camera behavior that sours the experience a little. Other than that, this game is worth a play.
