Survival adventure game in space

The Last Starship is a premium simulation title for PC from developer Introversion Software. In it, players will be tasked with building a starship from scratch. They will need to fit it with the necessary parts to have it ready to take on missions, while they explore the vastness of space.

Coming from the makers of DefCon and Prison Architect, The Last Starship takes inspiration from its predecessors for its distinct art style and gameplay. Players can immerse themselves in open-world exploration gameplay and play how they want when it comes out sometime in February 2023.

A barebones starship

Space survival and exploration games have always had a unique appeal for the unique experience that it offers players. They can get a glimpse of what it would be like to be and explore the mysteries and vastness of outer space from their home. If you’re of the same mind and looking for something new, The Last Starship is an interesting title to check out.

The game features a unique art style that blends hand-drawn models with static 2D backdrops making for an old-school look. In it, you are a budding space adventurer starting from humble beginnings. Choose an empty spaceship hull, populate it with thrusters and weapons, and have it ready to sustain life and travel-ready as you explore space and survive its harsh conditions.

You’ll also take on procedurally generated missions, such as mining asteroids, rescuing civilians from dangers, and more. Alternatively, you can go all-out to build up a massive armada and fight off pirates who terrorize space. If you’re interested in checking this game out, you will have to wait as it’s not out yet. However, you can request access to its closed playtest to preview it before release.
