A simple screen capturing app with basic editing tools

If you run a personal website or blog you probably need to take screenshots from time to time, and MRGetScreen can help you with this task.

MRGetScreen is a simple screen capturing tool that lets you grab the image on your screen in two ways: either the complete screen or a user-defined area. Once the image is loaded on the program’s interface, you can apply a few changes to it.

These changes include resizing the captured image, adding rectangles, lines, arrows or text to it, and adding a border effect to the whole image. All these tools are available through several toolbars on MRGetScreen’s interface, which is quite handy but makes the program look bloated. Also, the text tool is a bit tricky.

MRGetScreen has another feature I liked a lot, and that is the ability to save several captures on a sidebar and work on all of them at the same time. Be aware though that the sidebar does not save those images between sessions, so you’ll have to save them as individual files – only in JPG or PNG, that is. But if there’s one big drawback to MRGetScreen, that is the absence of the almighty “undo” feature.

MRGetScreen is a simple screen capturing tool with a few interesting features, but not as powerful as other similar apps.
