DoomSlayer Avatar – BONELAB mod is a free game utility that lets you play as the Doom Slayer, the protagonist of the action franchise Doom, letting you play as the battle-hardened marine for BONELAB. While the virtual reality (VR) shooter is mostly played in first-person view, reflective surfaces like puddles and mirrors will let you appreciate this recognizable form.

Play as the Doom Slayer

DoomSlayer Avatar – BONELAB mod lets you play as the protagonist of the long running Doom franchise, which traces its origins to the 1993 game of the same name. Also known as the Doom Marine or simply Doom Guy, various incarnations of the character have prevented hell’s invasion of Earth on multiple occasions—and you can now play as him in BONELAB, which boasts the same fast-paced and action-packed gameplay experience.

For a detailed custom model that moves flawlessly, this mod comes at a measly 27.3 MB of storage size. You can’t see it most of the time because of the VR game’s immersive first-person view. However, you can even use an existing exploit with most VR headsets to see the game in the third-person and better appreciate how segments of the model work together flawlessly.

Still, it would be a more immersive Doom experience on BONELAB if there were additional content beyond the character model. Custom voice lines or modded weapons from Doom could make it better. Also, it could use a bit more rework in terms of the stats, since it doesn’t do justice for this skin to be as physically restricted as the original character.

As the player assumes the identity of the customizable PolyBlank in BONELAB, DoomSlayer Avatar – BONELAB mod makes a fun addition by letting you be the hero from the Doom series. With its impressive texture and smoothly animated model segments, you’d be looking at yourself in virtual reality whenever possible. The mod is restricted to only the in-game avatar, with no other in-game content, it’s still fun to test out.
