Tiny Windows 11 package for small computers

Tiny11 is a stripped-down version of Microsoft’s Windows 11 operating system, optimized for speed on old or small computers. It includes certain core components of Windows 11, such as the operating system itself and Microsoft Edge.

Tiny11 removed many secondary components that made the full-sized operating system more taxing on the user’s hardware. It boasts compatibility with many devices on which Windows 11 simply won’t run and offers potentially better speed on standard computers.

Streamlined like a race car

Tiny11 includes only the essential components of Windows 11, like the built-in web Microsoft Edge browser. Most security components are also included with Tiny11, meaning that critical function also isn’t noticeably affected. As part of Tiny11’s remodeling, drivers your computer will never use, telemetry data that can slow down your apps, and other parts of Windows 11 are jettisoned.

Compatibility varies

Tiny11 has versions for a range of computers, such as Apple Silicon Macs or the Raspberry Pi. This makes it usable, even in cases when Windows 11 normally isn’t. However, do not that such versions vary in their compatibility.

For example, the Raspberry Pi version does not work with GPIO and can run into issues with Pi’s built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Some computers that are not officially supported by Tiny11 or Windows, such as the Pinebook, may not work with Tiny11 at all.

Perfect for older systems, imperfect for others

If your hardware is officially supported by Tiny11 or runs on an Intel/AMD CPU, Tiny11 is a great choice for improving its speed. Users can run Windows 11 with just two gigabytes of RAM. More obscure hardware, such as ARM-based Macs or Pis, needs a bit more caution — not everything will work.

Benefits newer systems

If you want an OS compatible with Windows programs without any bloat, Tiny11 can do that. In that sense, it works just fine on newer hardware as well.
