Biometric-based Aadhaar authentication
Mantra RD Service is a cost-free utility that can scan and store biometric-based 12-digit individual identification numbers called aadhaar. Issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), it will serve as your instant proof of identity and address for the latest authentication process required in the country as well as a seamless application for eKYC.
The RD in the program title Mantra RD Service means registered device, implying that UIDAI only allows biometric registered devices to utilize the convenience of this app. You can integrate this app to work with MFS100 software.
Scan biometrics for easy authentication
Once you install and launch Mantra RD Service on your mobile phone, you’ll be required to grant permission access with your contact, location, and other details. This information is necessary for this tool to function and do its job. After giving authorization, it will then redirect you to a neatly organized user interface. Remember that you must have a biometrics-registered device.
This way, the root device status will be verified as soon as you first open the app. To start scanning or registering your fingerprints, just tap the “Capture Test” button and it will lead you to the MantraRDSample page wherein you have to fill in essential details regarding your fingerprint scanning. Additionally, you’ll need to install the Mantra Management Client app.
The management client application works with aadhaar registered biometric device models and converts the public device into aadhaar registered devices. It’s necessary to successfully register your fingerprints. Once all set, you can now scan your fingerprints with less time and effort spent. However, many users report that its capture test flags have issues like the device not being connected at times.
Convenient authentication
Mantra RD Service is a simple and lightweight suite essential for authentication specifically when you’re applying for eKYC documents. This way, you can save yourself from the hassle of going into the agency’s office physically or even potentially lining up to process and certification for KYC. It is also an eco-friendly way of application as all transactions are done online and paperless.
