UCard: Your Electronic Membership Card

UCard is a free Android app developed by USWU IUJAT and Related Funds for members of the United Service Workers Union. The app enables members to create their electronic membership card by simply authenticating with their login details, taking a selfie, and verifying their status. If a member is active, their status will show green, while inactive members will see a red status. The app also features a Profile section in the sidebar, where users can view their basic information, update their database, and manage their medical dependent’s SSN.

Furthermore, the app allows members to check their annuity fund balance, view their employment history with the union, and access their welfare fund medical plan information. Members can also submit organizing leads. However, it should be noted that the app does not utilize the same login as U-Benefit.

Future updates will enable members to enjoy their U-Benefit discounts directly from the app. Samsung owners must take their selfie in landscape orientation, while users of Samsung Galaxy S3 may experience issues with the camera. The developers are working on a solution, but users can try updating their operating system to the latest Android version and disabling the Do not keep activities option under Developer Options in their settings.
