TMDriver OLD: A Mobile App for Taxi Drivers

TMDriver OLD is a free Android application developed by BIT Master for taxi drivers. The app allows drivers to calculate the cost of a ride and stay connected with the dispatcher office, customers, and other drivers. TMDriver is a part of the “Communication with driver” module in the Taxi Master system and eliminates the need for radios, thus expediting the order processing.

The app offers several useful features, such as transferring orders from the dispatcher office, registering in parking lots, automatic registration, and shift getaways. It also enables drivers and dispatchers to exchange short messages, and transmit and receive the coordinates of the cab via satellite taximeter.

TMDriver’s work is based on GPS technology, and it receives the coordinates of the car from satellites. The app allows drivers to receive real-time data such as the number of satellites currently receiving data, the method of calculating the cost and time spent on the way, the description of the rate at which calculation is performed, cost of travel, distance covered and travel time, current speed and coordinates of the car, and the number of free parking lots and orders.
