Room builder simulator game
My Dream Setup is a premium simulation game for PC by developer Campfire Studio. This simulator combines casual gameplay with 3D home design themes, all wrapped inside a charming and relaxing experience. In it, players get to build their dream room setup from a blank canvas.
Providing the same chill vibes as Unpacking and A Little to the Left, My Dream Setup is for those who are into designing and creating a personalized living space for themselves, only without limitations. It boasts a robust and extensive editor that lets them do virtually anything they want inside their designated space.
Your dream space
Everyone has dreamt and fantasized about their “perfect room” at one point or another. From wallpaper designs to cozy furniture, there’s something about the idea of creating a personal space such an appealing idea to ponder. Now, practically speaking, it would be a pretty costly dream to fulfill, but you can at least experience something close to it through a game.
My Dream Setup boasts a Blueprint Mode to create your custom room, from the floor layout to the window and door placement, and everything else. From there, choose your wallpaper, be it a solid shade or a unique pattern. After that, browse through the wide variety of furniture, including beds, desks, and sofas. You can place them in any orientation and even change their color.
You can fully interact with your space as you pan in and out and rotate 360 degrees to check every corner. There are also weather options to cycle between the time of day and different seasons to see how they affect the ambiance. The game is not without its shortcomings, though. One fundamental aspect oddly missing here is scalability and the ability to set precise sizes and measurements.
Build without limits (mostly)
In conclusion, My Dream Setup is a game that will appeal the most to those with a penchant for design or who like to keep things aesthetically pleasing and presentable. You’re given full control over the entire setup process, which is nice. The one glaring omission mentioned above notwithstanding, this is a pretty chill and fun simulator worth giving a try. Recommended.
