Super Stardust Ultra VR is a classic PlayStation (PS) shooter game with a completely fresh perspective. This time you would be defending your planet from within the cockpit of your fighter plane.

Gameplay

With Super Stardust Ultra, you are literally positioned in the midst of all the action and fighting with intuitive controls that only the PS VR makes possible. To play, you must take aim and then fire to destroy your enemies. Though the base game hasn’t changed much, the VR element offers a different dimension altogether.The additional cockpit view may seem like a marginal addition on paper. But when you start playing the game and using the cockpit view, you realize how close you get to all the action, which kind of pulls you in like never before.

Invasion Mode

Invasion mode is definitely the most unique aspect of this game. Designed for VR, this mode enables players to head down to the surface of the planet and sit in their ship’s cockpit, offering a first-person view. The joysticks are used for hovering around the planet, wherein the players scorch their way past the conventional Super Stardust phases.Using your head to aim is a new feature that works. And it makes it easier to focus on one enemy at a time, which could be a good thing or bad thing based on what your strategy is like. Long story short, Invasion mode represents Stardust graphically.
