Surah Duha – A Review

Surah Duha is a free Android application developed by 123Muslim. It is a reference book in the Education and Reference category, specifically in the Books subcategory. The application is designed to help Muslims read and understand the Surah Duha chapter of the Quran. This chapter consists of 11 ayats and is one of the Meccan Suras. The name “Duha” means “The Morning Hours”, and it is taken from the first word of the Surah.

The application begins with two oaths and then informs the user of the good news that Allah has never forsaken them nor left them alone. It adds that soon, Allah will provide for them so abundantly that they will become content. In the last verses of the Surah, Allah reminds the Prophet of his past life to illustrate how Allah has always bestowed His loving care on him and supported him in the most difficult moments. The user is encouraged to be kind to orphans and the needy.

According to tradition, reciting this Surah will please Allah and may result in Muhammad interceding for the user. The application is easy to use and provides a great way for Muslims to read and understand the Surah Duha chapter of the Quran.
