realme Link is a free lifestyle application for mobile coming from realme Mobile. It is the companion app for the company’s various smart home and fitness products. With it, users can conveniently manage and be able to access all the features available on their devices from a unified interface.
Essentially combining the functionalities of both Google Home and Google Fit into one, realme Link makes it easier for users of realme-branded home accessories and fitness wearables to take full advantage of their devices. It also provides information on the latest products and upcoming releases from the company.
Two-in-one
realme is a company that made a name for itself from its line of smartphones, tablets, and more recently, even laptops. It then followed up with fitness bands and smartwatches. With the Internet of Things (IoT) in full swing, there are now weighing scales, security cameras, and more included in the mix. realme Link is an app that was developed to consolidate and manage it all.
The app can be used to manage smartwatches and fitness trackers, as well as a variety of home and personal tech accessories. For the former, you can access detailed health tracking data for exercise and sleeping to help you maintain a healthy lifestyle. The latter cover a broader spectrum of devices ranging from wireless earbuds to weighing scales, and security cameras.
For home automation, you can configure and set what’s called Scenes that can trigger specific functions on smart lights, air purifiers, and even robot vacuum cleaners. Sadly, the app does struggle with connection with devices at times which results in disconnection while controlling them. Also, there have been reports from users of their devices not being detected properly by the app.
A decent companion app
All in all, if you own multiple compatible products from the company, the realme Link app is pretty much a must-have to get the most out of your devices. It’s easy to use and lets you control and configure all kinds of features and functions from a convenient place. There are some issues with connectivity, though, but aside from that, it’s well worth giving a try.
