Watch and stream on your TV

XCIPTV PLAYER is a free video player mobile app that enables you to easily watch video files and live streams. Developed by OTTRUN, this multimedia app is designed for playing and processing videos on either your mobile devices or a supported smart TV. It comes with two media players and doesn’t require any third-party apps to function properly. However, this is simply a player program and won’t offer you any content to watch.

What is XCIPTV PLAYER?

XCIPTV PLAYER is an OTT (over-the-top) or IPTV (Internet Protocol TV) player. It can play and stream media content that’s being provided through the internet. This means that this app will only provide you a platform to access this kind of content. You’ll need the server name, password, and the like of your IPTV provider in order to actually start watching via this app. The content can also come from local or remote storage.

This app offers two built-in players: ExoPlayer and VLC Player with Adaptive HLS Streaming—with the first one being an alternative to your Android MediaPlayer app. Aside from this, this app has EPG support for Xtream Codes Compatible APIs, EZHometech (EZServer), and M3U links. It can process Catch-up content from your TV providers, videos with metadata, and even radio shows. This software is reminiscent of a TV channel app, with program schedules and recording functions.

There are three versions of this app: Free, Pro, and One-Time Pro. The Free version has all of the basic media player features but lacks the account-specific ones like maintenance notifications and the self-management portal. The Pro version has these and is a monthly subscription. Meanwhile, One-Time Pro is just the 1-year subscription version of Pro. The only serious drawback to this app is that it doesn’t have an extensive in-app tutorial for beginner users.

Just like a TV

All in all, XCIPTV PLAYER can be a great alternative to your default media players, especially if you’re using smart TV like Android TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick. It supports a variety of online media content sources and can be fully customized. Plus, it offers three different subscriptions for you to choose from. You’ll just have to consult the online documentation for it that’s found on its website since it doesn’t have an in-app tutorial.
