Planet Tossing Fun
Throw entire planets around like beach balls. Can you land the perfect stable orbit in this small but fun virtual reality sand box game?
Feel the Gravity
The aim of Orbital Injection is to throw planets into a stable orbit around your star. Get your aim wrong and your poor planet could crash into the Sun, or sail off into the endless void of space. Optimised for the HTC Vive, you can view the solar system (that you’re creating with your projectile planets) as though you were floating in space. The game also sports a very relaxing soundtrack to put you at ease as you cause celestial mayhem. There are a few bugs with the game—such as the last item in your palette being super sized, and items not respawning in your palette when destroyed, forcing a reset.
Fun but Limited
Orbital Injection is very much a one trick pony. There’s not much else beyond the core game mechanic, aside from the option to throw some other objects at the sun like satellites. But for a very small price, it’s hard to complain about a game that is, despite the dry subject matter, very fun. You’re not getting a bargain for your money, but you’re not getting ripped off, either.
