Top-down survival & exploration RPG

Pickle Pete: Survival RPG is a single-player smartphone game. It will require skill, accuracy, and a fair amount of upgrades. While the main goal is to survive continuous enemy onslaughts, there are plenty of opportunities to gain strength and cultivate skills along the way.

Although not nearly as immersive as other top-down RPGs, such as Diablo II, this was never the intention. While still offering up intense levels of melee-based action and adventure, the developers wanted to provide players with a slightly retro feel instead.

A strange story

The backstory of this game is quite entertaining. A person known simply as ‘Pete’ suddenly finds that he has been transformed into a pickle. Not only must he unravel this mystery, but he has been tasked with fighting forces of darkness that have settled across his world.

Much-needed help

Pickle Pete involves a fair amount of grinding and resource farming. These actions are absolutely necessary in order to unlock various skills and gain loot as one progresses. Note that this is also required to ascend to higher levels.

Leveling up

All skills and powers can be upgraded, while some are naturally more advantageous than others. Loot (such as gold and diamonds) can then be used to further boost equipped traits. Interestingly enough, some items are able to be merged in order to create entirely new weapons that can be deployed during battle.

A respected franchise

Pickle Pete has been envisioned by Frojo Apps. This is the same team of developers responsible for other viral games, such as Moy 7 – Virtual Pet Game. Those who enjoy top-down action should enjoy what this app has to offer.
