Survival game in a flooded post-apocalyptic world

Highwater is a premium adventure game developed by Demagog Studio for PC. It is an open-world survival title that is set in a post-apocalyptic world that has been submerged in water. Players will explore the vast sea, discover islands, and make allies as they try to reach safety.

Just like Raft or Stranded Deep, Highwater, which is slated for December 2022, features an aquatic environment in its core gameplay. Players will navigate the world by boat as they make their way toward the last remaining safe haven while helping and picking up survivors that they will encounter along the way.

Deep blue world

Highwater is set in a post-apocalyptic world wherein Earth has been all but completely submerged in water due to the Great Climate Catastrophe. The titular zone serves as a flooded safe zone between the two last remaining dry lands. A space shuttle bound for Mars is your only hope of survival. To get there, you’ll go on a perilous journey to the walled city of Alphaville.

You play as Nikos, and you will navigate the world primarily with your dependable motor-powered boat that you can drive to the multiple islands across the map. Make allies to help you on your journey, scavenge for resources, and battle hostile enemies as you make your way to Alphaville. Combat features a classic turn-based system that will have you use your surroundings to damage and defeat enemies.

Alternatively, you can simply explore the vast sea and admire the scenery, while rescuing any survivor you come across. There is also the Highwater Pirate Radio to provide some tunes and special announcements and commentary regarding the great escape to Mars. One thing to note, though, is that the game is not available yet, but it has a planned release window in December 2022.
