Sonic Lost World: Classic Sonic Meets Platform-style Gameplay
Sonic Lost World is a novel reinvention of the traditional Sonic formula which sees our hedgehog hero teaming up with his nemesis: Dr. Eggman. With this reimagination of the Sonic, Sega has attempted something new with the franchise, and the 3D graphics and feel make it a great alternative to the classic Sonic Generations.
Compelling story
In his newest bid to defeat Sonic and take over the Sonic world, Dr. Eggman has summoned the power of monsters known as the Deadly Six. In an unprecedented turn of events, however, Dr. Eggman loses control of these creatures, and he must join forces with the spikey protagonist to stop them. Players are transported through visually stunning levels, where they must take on the Deadly Six in a series of Boss battles.
Brilliant concept, clumsy gameplay
One of the difficulties with applying the platform formula to the Sonic franchise is that it detracts somewhat from the spirit of Sonic. While older Sonic games allowed players to find their own way through labyrinthine levels of loops and obstacles, there is only one set route through the levels of this Sonic game.
