I’ve always been a big fan of post-impressionist painting, and aside from Van Gogh, Paul Gauguin is one of the best exponants of the style, in my humble opinion. His unique way of using colour is something that’s always amazed me. This screensaver provides an ideal way to pay homage to the great man, and includes a selection of some of his best work.

Among the inclusions are ‘The Swineherd’, ‘Tahitian Women on the Beach’, and ‘The Yellow Christ’, all of which are represented in the form of high quality, high resolution images. The package delivers a very generous 35 paintings and you have the option to apply a soundtrack to them.

Unfortunately there aren’t many options for customising the screensaver, but nevertheless this is an essential download for fans of Gauguin.

This screensaver is dedicated to the work of Paul Gauguin. Born Eugène Henri Paul Gauguin (7 June 1848 – 8 May 1903), he was a leading Post-Impressionist painter. His bold experimentation with coloring led directly to the Synthetist style of modern art while his expression of the inherent meaning of the subjects in his paintings, under the influence of the cloisonnist style, paved the way to Primitivism and the return to the pastoral. He was also an influential exponent of wood engraving and woodcuts as art forms.
