Quirky duck sim game for PC
Placid Plastic Duck Simulator is a premium simulation title developed by turbolento games. It is a chill life sim that has players experience the life of a rubber duck floating on a pool. It’s presented with a vintage look to it, complete with chill sounds and music.
Compared to other relaxing games like ABZU or Untitled Goose Game, Placid Plastic Duck Simulator takes an even more casual approach with little to no player involvement or action. Instead, it offers players a relaxing and calming experience that they can soak in and enjoy however they want.
Chill the duck out
Put simply, Placid Plastic Duck Simulator is a 3D duck simulator set at a pool in some tropical location surrounded by palm trees bushes, and various objects like a flamingo floater and beach ball. You can sit on your beach chair to soak in the sun and view below you. There’s a kiddie pool right next to you that is connected with a mini water slide.
You’ll start the sim with a typical yellow ducky falling conspicuously from the sky. You can rotate and zoom in using your mouse as you admire your floating companion. More will randomly drop in featuring various colors and designs. They even come in different materials like wood. You can also toggle nature-like background sounds and accompanying music to complete the ambiance.
The game also features day/night cycles that seamlessly transition in the background so you can continue chilling into the night. Watch your pool light up and your duckies float above the glow. However, despite the various things around you, there is no interactivity involved all throughout, outside of music and camera angle controls. The same goes for the ducks themselves, which just move and float to their own beat.
Just keep floating
Depending on how you approach it, Placid Plastic Duck Simulator can be a relaxing or a dull experience. The game itself has a chill presentation full of charm and vibe. However, everything just is and goes without any kind of action or involvement from you. If you’re okay with the game as it is, then you’ll have a nice time. Otherwise, its appeal will fade rather quickly.
