WWII-themed online shooter for PC
Days of War: Definitive Edition is a premium action game made by developer Driven Arts. It is an online multiplayer first-person shooter with a World War II theme. In it, players will be engaging in team-based shootouts in close-quarters settings with up to 32 participants at a given time.
Just like in Hell Let Loose or Call of Duty WWII, Days of War: Definitive Edition puts players in high-stakes situations against other teams. Fights take place inside various theaters across three locations. It features multiple character classes and an arsenal of different weapons to choose from.
D-Day
Days of War: Definitive Edition is basically a team-based first-person shooter set in the ever-popular World War II setting. Battles support up to 32 players at a time, and your battleground will mostly take place in theaters spread across Europe, Africa, and the Eastern Front. There are four factions in the game, namely America, Britain, Germany, and Russia, each with their own period-specific weapons.
There are six character classes to choose from in this game, each one serving a specific role on the field, as well as 60 weapon types to equip for your loadout. You get some practice first via local games with bots. Once ready, try to defend or conquer various locations across 12 maps as you engage in brutal fights that involve plenty of gore and dismemberment.
Communicate with your team via the built-in voice chat function, try to complete all Steam achievements, and even try out some maps or make your own with Steam Workshop integration. Sadly, the game’s player base has dwindled since launch and is pretty much non-existent at this point. If you want to play it, be sure to invite enough friends to join you.
Days filled with nothing
First-person shooters based on the historic World War II era keep getting released left and right. Days of War: Definitive Edition is yet another MMO shooter to consider playing, and it’s a decent option. It offers multiple map locations to battle in and various classes to help find one that suits your playstyle. Finding a match online will be near-impossible, though, so be sure to round up enough friends.
