A free user interface mod for Fallout New Vegas

This is a mod that highly favors people who play Fallout New Vegas with a controller. It sets up the interface in a way that makes it clearer, easier to read, and easier to navigate. This mod also makes the text easier to read in the dark.

A complete UI rewrite

Though it may not seem apparent at first, the UI has been completely rewritten. Everything seems to fit far more evenly and more snugly. The only casualty of this was the HP bar that used to exist at the very top. The HP bar was removed to make way for the slew of other information on offer.

Condensed and easier to read

The more uniform manner in which the UI has been laid out is the reason why the text is now easier to read. The text is also more present and seems a little brighter on the screen. An unexpected benefit of the UI rewrite is that some icons, like the Plasma Pistol icon, are no longer cropped on the left.

A simple but brilliant solution

If you were to look at before and after pictures, you would see that the differences are noticeable. A massive amount of design and planning skill went into this mod. The changes have a very powerful effect, from more uniform settings and mapping, to better graphics through clever anti-aliasing.

Keeping things brighter

The gamma or brighten of the screen has not been improved or increased. It is actually the thickness of the lines that has altered, which makes the text look brighter and therefore easier to read.
