A collection of casual mini-games for PC

LUL inc. is a premium arcade title made by indie developer Alexander Lahti for PC. It is a game collection of casual titles across various genres and themes. In it, players will need to complete every challenge thrown at them in order to become the distinguished God Gamer.

Similar to Capcom Fighting Collection or Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium, LUL inc. offers multiple games in one convenient package. What makes it standout from others is the level of gameplay variety that it offers players. No two titles are exactly alike, making the experience different every single time.

Anything under the sun

Every gamer is familiar with who Mario is at this point and Wario, who is essentially his archrival. Often portrayed as a bad guy, he eventually became an anti-hero of sorts and even got his own series and subseries called WarioWare, a collection of mini-games of all kinds. If you’ve played any of these games before, you’ll have a good grasp of what LUL inc. is and what it offers.

The said game is basically just like WarioWare in that it contains mini-games across multiple genres like platforming, puzzle, shooting, and many more. You need to complete 36 various challenges and three different boss encounters to earn the title of God Gamer. The art style is nothing to write home about. Each level is wacky and cartooney in design, but it has a unique charm that grows on you.

The games themselves vary in difficulty depending on how well you play, but a typical playthrough will only last a couple of hours. Also, do note that you only have one try. If you fail once, it’s game over and you have to start all over again. However, the experience is quite short since you can pretty much breeze through and finish it way sooner than advertised.

Nice try

The WarioWare games are a lot of fun to play and offer plenty of variety and types to choose from depending on what you like. However, despite its effort to replicate the experience, it still felt a little underwhelming in the end. The mini-games are on the easy side so you end up defeating them rather quickly. Maybe more levels could be added in the future.
