Chrome Extension – Copy a URL From Your Clipboard Into a New Tab
This is a small extension for Chrome that allows you to paste a URL from your clipboard into a selected tab, or into any new tab you create, and it will navigate to that URL. In order for this to work, you will need to paste the URL into a tab with the middle button.
This is a very small extension that only works in a limited number of situations. It only works on Linux and Windows, and it doesn’t work with Chrome Dev and Canary, or Chrome 57. This is because it is using an experimental API that was not publicly released yet. It also doesn’t work with Chrome Dev and Canary, because that version of Chrome has been blocked from loading extensions that access the clipboard. It also doesn’t work with the new tab page, the blank page, or any other chrome:// page. However, if you select a page with this extension and then open a new tab, it will navigate to the page you just selected.
